Time in is going so fast, sometimes it’s hard to keep track of what week we’re on! So this week, we travelled to Lake Manyara as a change from our main base in Arusha.
Lake Manyara offers a taste of the true African bush and our accommodation this week was situated in Kiboko bush camp, in a permanent tent. The camp itself is a beautiful place, surrounded by many trees and beautiful flowers, oh and monkeys that casually roam around the camp pretty much everywhere! At night the place is alive with sounds, and the sky is scattered with clusters of stars.Our placement this week was at a local orphanage: Amani orphanage, ‘Amani’ translating as ‘peace’.
